Terms for Private Customers
These Terms and Conditions are the general terms for using the software leano. They govern the conditions under which you may use leano, which services you receive, and which rights and obligations apply to you and to us. These terms apply to private individuals (consumers).
Version and validity
Version 1.2 | Last updated: 15 September 2026
Scope
These terms apply to the use of the software "leano" (a SaaS for process design and management) by consumers (B2C). Separate "Terms for Business Customers" apply to business customers (entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB). The contracting party is daleap GmbH, Grützmacherweg 6, 13599 Berlin, Germany.
Services
We provide leano as online software. There is a guest access without registration, a free Solo Account with registration, and the paid Pro Solo Account. The scope of features may vary by plan.
Account, access, minimum age
The Solo and Pro Solo Account require registration with an email address and password. Login credentials may not be shared. The minimum age for consumers is 16 years.
Prices and payment
The Pro Solo Account costs either 49 euros per month (monthly billing) or 468 euros per year (annual billing). All prices are gross prices. Payment is made in advance via Stripe. Payment methods may vary by country and Stripe configuration. Payment data is generally processed by Stripe, not by us.
Formation of contract
By submitting the paid order at checkout you make a binding offer to conclude a contract for the Pro Solo Account. The contract is formed as soon as payment has been successfully completed at checkout. Immediately afterwards we send you the confirmation of the contract in accordance with § 312f BGB by email; it contains the contractual terms as well as the declarations on the right of withdrawal you gave at checkout. We provide you with this confirmation before we activate your access. Activation of access marks the start of performance of the contract.
Term and termination
With monthly billing, the subscription runs for one month at a time. With annual billing, it runs for one year at a time. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A refund for billing periods already started is only made under the rules of the 60-day money-back guarantee or where mandatory statutory rights require it.
Trial and free use
Guest and Solo use is free of charge. There is no time limit on the trial. We may change or end the terms of free use for a valid reason, where necessary.
Inviting guests
The Solo and Pro Solo Account may include features that let you invite guests to view content. Guests receive read-only access, not editing rights, unless expressly stated otherwise within the product.
Availability, maintenance, changes
There is no guaranteed level of availability. We may carry out maintenance, generally between 00:00 and 03:00 (Europe/Berlin). We may further develop and change features. We will communicate material changes in a suitable form.
User obligations
You are responsible for the content you store in leano. You must not misuse leano, infringe the rights of third parties, or introduce harmful content.
Rights to content
Your content remains your content. You only grant us the rights we need to operate leano — to store, process and make your content available to you.
Data, deletion, retention
After the contract ends, we store your data for up to 12 months so you can reactivate your account. You may request deletion at any time. After the 12 months have passed, we delete the data unless statutory retention obligations prevent this. Technically caused residual copies in backups may be deleted with a delay.
Right of withdrawal for consumers
As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. We provide you with the full withdrawal notice including the model withdrawal form before you place your order at checkout.
The Pro Solo Account is supplied as digital content not provided on a tangible medium. Your right of withdrawal therefore expires early once performance of the contract begins, provided that
- you expressly consented at checkout to us beginning performance of the contract before the withdrawal period has expired,
- you confirmed at checkout that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance of the contract begins, and
- before performance of the contract began we provided you with a confirmation of the contract in accordance with § 312f BGB on a durable medium (by email) which reproduces your consent and your confirmation of awareness (§ 356 (6) BGB).
If even one of these conditions is not met, your right of withdrawal remains unaffected. This section summarises the withdrawal notice only; the withdrawal notice itself prevails.
60-day money-back guarantee (voluntary)
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we offer consumers a voluntary 60-day money-back guarantee for Pro Solo from the conclusion of the contract. You can request a refund by email within this period. The guarantee applies only to the first acquisition of a Pro Solo subscription. First acquisition means the first paid Pro Solo contract per user; a change of plan or a contract newly concluded after termination does not give rise to a further guarantee claim. The refund is made in full – regardless of how long the service was used within the 60 days. No compensation for use is withheld. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of a material contractual obligation, and then limited to the damage typically foreseeable. Liability for indirect damages such as lost profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law. For consumers, these limitations of liability apply only to the extent they are legally effective.
Dispute resolution
The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Final provisions
German law applies for business customers. The place of jurisdiction for business customers is Berlin, to the extent permitted by law. For consumers, German law applies only subject to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of their habitual residence. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers remain unaffected.

They govern the conditions under which leano may be used, which services are provided, and which rights and obligations apply to both parties. (2) Each user account is personal. Passing on login credentials to third parties beyond the contractually agreed number of users is prohibited. This also applies to the free or temporary transfer to third parties.
(3) The customer is prohibited from:
- carrying out automated bulk access to the platform that goes beyond contractual use and impairs or could impair system stability;
- using the platform to send unsolicited messages (spam), to distribute malware, or for any other unlawful purposes;

Rights of termination and withdrawal for business customers
7.1 Note on the statutory right of withdrawal
As an entrepreneur within the meaning of § 14 BGB, you have no statutory right of withdrawal.
7.2 Voluntary 60-day money-back guarantee (withdrawal)
We voluntarily grant you a contractual right of withdrawal of 60 days from the date of purchase.
Withdrawal period and exercise
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within sixty (60) days from the date of purchase without giving any reason. The date of purchase is the day of the first successful receipt of payment for the subscription.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (daleap GmbH, Grützmacherweg 6, 13599 Berlin, email: mail@leano.net) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. by email).
To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notification before the 60-day period expires.
Consequences of withdrawal
In the event of withdrawal, we will refund to you in full all payments we have received from you for this subscription. The refund is made without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen (14) days from the day on which the notification of your withdrawal was received by us.
For the refund, we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees for this refund.
Access to Leano is deactivated when the withdrawal takes effect.
7.3 Ordinary cancellation of the subscription
Irrespective of the right of withdrawal under section 7.2, you may cancel your subscription at any time by ordinary notice.
Notice period
The cancellation must reach us no later than 14 days before the end of the current billing period in order to take effect at the end of that billing period.
Form of cancellation
The cancellation can be declared at any time via your account area or by email to mail@leano.net.
Effect of cancellation
The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then, your access to Leano remains active. No refund is made for the current billing period in the event of ordinary cancellation.
In the event of early extraordinary termination for good cause, the statutory provisions apply (§ 314 BGB).

Warranty
The statutory warranty provisions apply to defects in the services provided.
Liability
(1) We are liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health, as well as for intent and gross negligence. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
(2) In the event of a breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), we are also liable for slight negligence, limited in amount to the damage typically foreseeable for the contract. Cardinal obligations are those obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely.
(3) In so far as our liability under paragraph 2 is limited to the damage typically foreseeable for the contract, the parties apply the following benchmark in determining that damage: damage is, as a rule, typical for the contract and foreseeable up to the amount of the net fees you paid to us in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the damage. If, at the time of the event giving rise to the damage, the contract has been in force for less than twelve months, the sum of the net fees that would be owed for a period of twelve months under the agreed subscription price applies instead. This benchmark constitutes neither a cap on our liability nor a minimum amount of your damage; the statutory burden of presentation and proof, including § 287 ZPO, continues to apply to the occurrence and amount of your damage. In particular, you remain free to prove that your damage was higher and nevertheless typical for the contract and foreseeable; to that extent our liability under paragraph 2 is not excluded by paragraph 5. Paragraph 3 does not apply to free use; paragraph 2 applies in that case. The unlimited liability under paragraph 1 remains unaffected.
(4) In so far as we are liable for the loss of data, liability is limited to the effort that would have been required to restore the data in the case of proper and regular data backup. Since we have assumed the regular data backup pursuant to DPA § 3.3 as well as the technical and organisational measures (TOMs) attached as Annex 1 to the DPA, this limitation does not apply to data losses that are attributable to a breach of these backup obligations. Liability claims under Art. 82 DSGVO as well as liability for intent and gross negligence remain unaffected.
(5) Otherwise, that is outside paragraphs 1 to 4, our liability is excluded. Liability for fraudulent intent, liability arising from the assumption of a guarantee or a procurement risk (§ 276 (1) sentence 1 BGB), liability under the Product Liability Act and liability under Art. 82 GDPR remain unaffected.
Data protection
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy. In so far as we process personal data of your employees within the scope of processing on behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement (DPA) with you pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO. The DPA is made available for acceptance as part of the ordering process.
Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin. Should any provision of these terms of sale be or become invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision. Amendments and additions to these terms of sale require text form (§ 126b BGB). There are no verbal side agreements.
